After iOS 5 was released, many iPhone users complained from extreme battery loss. About ten percent every hour. Recently iOS 5.0.1 was available for download via iTunes or directly from your iDevice. This was the first software update available without connecting your iDevice to iTunes. 5.0.1 was supposed to fix the battery draining issues in 5.0 . After updating, many users STILL complained about battery issues, some said it got even worse. Lots of people asked about this issue on the Apple Discussion Boards. After releasing an unsuccessful software update, what do you think Apple will do now? Tell me in your comments.
Taiwanese site 175wan, has posted pictures of the iPhone 5 which shows two cameras side-by-side possibly to take three-dimensional pictures. Two LED flashes are placed in between the cameras one on top of another. The author claims that the pictures were taken by a friend in Shenzhen. Apparently, Apple already has begun exploring adding one more camera to the iPhone allowing images to be rendered and processed in 3D in a patent titled "Systems and Methods for an Imaging System Using Multiple Image Sensors (US PTO Link). If these images are really the iPhone 5, then the new iPhone could produce high-quality three-dimensional pictures with a less processor load. Although the picture looks pretty fake, many people believe that Apple will actually incorporate a 3D camera into the iPhone 5, just not this one. Let me know what you think in the comments.
Pictures of the anticipated iPhone 5 have emerged on the internet, looking similar to the iPhone 4 but with subtle differences. This image of a white back-cover (first posted on MacPost) bears the model number "N94" believed to be Apple's codename for the iPhone 5. The design looks very similar to the iPhone 4 with the squared body and the camera and flash in the same location. The front plate, labeled "EVT2" (Engineering Verification Testing) meaning that it is an early prototype. It also has the date 07-June-2011. Few months ago 9to5Mac found references to "N94" and "N93" on the iOS 5 SDK informing that there will be two distinctly different models, the two models will either be GSM and CDMA models or something else. Other images of the the iPhone 5 (available here) show that there is no hole for the home button suggesting that it will be removed in the iPhone 5. Apple's new CEO, Tim Cooks said he wanted the iPhone to be "not only for rich people". This statement has led to the increased speculation that Apple will release two models of the fifth generation iPhone, including one low-price model with a smaller capacity. Until the official announcement, nothing can be definite of any of the specs of features of the iPhone 5.
